Vintecc IoT edge gateway

  • Open modular: specially designed to implement a wide range of industrial and mobile IoT applications with minimum time and development effort.
  • Compact: the edge gateway can be implemented in either industrial, static or mobile devices.
  • Protocols: Commonly required services or protocols such as OPC-UA, ADS, S7, ModBus, CAN, MQTT, REST ...etc are available.

IoT edge gateway

The Vintecc IoT edge gateway has a comprehensive interface set for connection in both industrial and mobile applications. The systems are housed in a highly space-efficient and stable aluminium housing with various mounting options.


Power consumption is only 3 watts and the power control function provides intelligent control of the power supply. Several ready-made IO modules are available to build your own edge gateway custom.

Connection via 4G is automatically established and automatically restored if the connection is lost.

The acquired data can be sent to the cloud via MQTT, for example, and buffered in case of a missing Wi-Fi connection. Thanks to free programmability, customer-specific requirements can be implemented quickly and easily.

  • Telematics application in fleet management
    • For this application, the customer required to read the data of the mounted machines and the vehicle's telematics. These trucks are very critical when operational. 
    • Via the Vintecc edge gateway, this critical data can be transmitted in real-time to the IoT platform via the built-in 4G module. Less critical data - relating to maintenance, for example - is only uploaded to the cloud when the vehicle is back at its fixed location and can connect to Wi-Fi.

  • Connectivity portal for energy sensors in a production environment
    • In a production environment, a network of sensors was set up to monitor both electricity, water, and gas consumption of production machines. 
    • Individual sensor data was captured and centralised in the IoT edge gateway, which then transmitted - via a (wireless) internet connection - the machine data to the IoT platform. This data is used for remote monitoring, automated reports and alarms, advanced data analytics, production and energy optimisation.
